Nigeria played out a drab 1-1 draw with Benin Republic in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Abidjan on Thursday night.
The Super Eagles’ place at the tournament was already confirmed before kick-off.
This is because Libya recorded a shock 1-0 victory at Rwanda.
Benin took the lead early in the first half through Mohamed Tijani, in what was a goalkeeping error from Stanley Nwabali.
But Victor Osimhen headed the three-time African champions level late in the second half.
Nigeria have 11 points, four more than Benin Republic.
