Abia Police Arrest 35-Year-Old Man For Fatally Stabbing Brother

The Abia State Police Command has taken a 35-year-old man, Nwogu Nnamdi, into custody for allegedly stabbing his brother, John Nwachukwu, to death over a misunderstanding. According to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, the incident occurred on July 29, 2025, at Nwagbara Street, Umuikpo, Aba.

The Commissioner revealed during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Umuahia on September 19, 2025, that Nwogu Nnamdi allegedly stabbed his brother in the stomach with a knife, leading to his death at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), Aba. The suspect is currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) .
