Chelsea and Manchester City played a thrilling 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in a match that lived up to its billing as one of the most anticipated games of the Premier League season.

Man City picked an early lead through a penalty kick won by Erling Haaland in the 25th minute of the first half.

Chelsea also started the match brightly, winning an equalizer through Thiago Silva in the 29th minute of the game.

The host team quickly knocked back at Pep Guardiola’s men, securing a lead through Raheem Sterling to make the match 2-1.

Again, Man City woke from the slumber and equalized to make 2-2 through Manuel Akanji who scored in the 46 minutes of the first half.

Haaland again played smart seizing a brilliant cross from Phil Foden 90 seconds after the restart to help Man City back. Both sides rained goals at Stamford Bridge as Nicolas Jackson slammed home a rebound to renew Mauricio Pochettino’s hope of beating Guardiola.

The city regained the lead after Rodri’s shot ricocheted off Silva’s outstretched leg and into the net.

However, there was a final turn of events when Ruben Dias conceded a penalty in stoppage time for fouling Armando Broja. Former City player Palmer then stepped up and calmly equalized to bring the scores level again at an astonishing 4-4.
