Rotary Club Of Ojodu Set To Install Nwosu As 19th President

The Rotary Club of Ojodu is preparing to install Rotarian Florence Ijeoma Nwosu as its 19th President.

A statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Installation Committee, Rotarian Evans Ikpunuekhai, and the Club’s Public Image Chair, Rotarian Ezenwa Opara on Monday, September 25, 2023, stated that part of the activities lined up for the installation ceremony includes a pre-installation dinner and a lecture titled, “Religion and Tribalism in Nigeria – The Role to Play,” to be delivered by Dr. Emmanuel Agu.

The statement reads, in part, “History will be made on Saturday, September 30, 2023, when the newly elected Create Hope in the World President of the Rotary Club of Ojodu, Rotarian Ijeoma Nwosu, will be installed as the 19th President of the Club.

A woman who embodies the essence of a true leader with a strong moral compass, an inspiring presence, and the business insight necessary to navigate the complexities of the corporate world of event management. Little wonder she has left her mark on the industry with her management of two flourishing event companies. She is the founder and Managing Director of Flourishtimes Ltd and Flourishtimes Bridals & Events Company Limited.

Rotarian Florence Ijeoma Nwosu was born on April 13th, 1980, in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, to the family of Nze & Lolo Adolphus Ikeme Nnadi (the Nze Dinobi 1 of Umundugba) and hails from Okporo Orori Umundugba in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State. A graduate of Electrical Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, FUTO, Owerri. She has served the club in various capacities, including chair RFHD D9110 – 2020/2021; President Nominee 2021/2022; and secretary/ president-elect installation chairperson 2022/2023, as well as in several committees before her emergence as the President of the Club.

The Rotary Club of Ojodu started in 2002 as a provisional Club until 2005 before it was chartered on the 8th of March 2005 with only 26 members. Today, the club has grown in leaps and bounds with over 80 Rotarians and can attest to tens and hundreds of projects executed within the indigent members of the Ojodu community
