This man lost his wife few months ago… That’s a big blow to him. My heart goes to him and his children for such painful loss. All humans must pass through the grinding mill. No exemption.
We never saw him broke down in tears publicly in such occasion that demands outburst of emotion-ladden shedding of tears. No doubt, he must have done that off camera.
We never saw him cry in the open!
He was grinning from cheek to cheek receiving condolence visits and exchanging pleasantries!
Now he’s been politically ‘maradonnaed’ out of the race for Senate Presidency, and all of a sudden, “Nigeria isn’t fair to some people”.
But let someone remind Senator Orji Uzo Kalu:
The Aba-PortHarcout road has been in ruins for years… He didn’t remember that Nigeria isn’t fair to some people. Under his watch and against his strong campaign promises, Aba City suffered the worst dilapidation in terms of decay in infrastructure. He turned down, Yes! He squandered and squashed the hope of turning Aba into a coveted hub for commerce that boasts of state-of-the-art infrastructures. OUK could have done it if only he wanted and lived with little greed and corruption! It’s a question of mustering the all-important political will. Let no one ever tell me it’s too big a project for him. In this age, I have grown to be intolerant with incompetence and excuses!
An Igbo man was running for Presidency, even if you don’t support him, just behave like Ngige and not run him down publicly, he even went ahead to say Ndị’Igbo shouldn’t aspire to be President as the time isn’t ripe, but the time is ripe for you to be Senate President. Pull him down (PhD) syndrome is a dreaded disease.
All those who worked against a fine project must collect shame and wotowoto. You all know yourselves:
One has since been taken out and serving prison sentence in a white man’s country. One has been denied “his turn” despite purported huge financial investments in selfish politics, eyeservice, sycophancy, boy-boyism and playing to the gallery. One who was the former governor of Imo and a serving Senator has been rendered irrelevant politically. It remains one who is serving in govt house in Awka who stood staunchly against his brother’s interest out of envy, writing unnecessary volumes to exhibit some sort of professorial grammars and show of bookish wisdom. Another who is also among the overfed Igbo political selfish leaders just exited govt house in Ebonyi state and cooling off with membership of the Senate after woeful failure during presidential primaries in APC.
It beats imagination why these idíots will elect to work against a man respected world over as not only Igbo’s but Nigeria’s best in modern times for prudent management of resources – a man standing taller than his peers for character and learning in the best tradition without an iota of corruption!
OUK and his co-travellers, ‘una never shee shometin’. This is just preamble and a foretaste of what is to be the lot of saboteurs gallivanting in political misadventures!
Nigeria was fair to you when you were governor for 8 years…and your mother, Ugo Abia playing goddess, dictating removal of political appointees and LGA chairmen at will.
Nigeria was fair to you when you retired to the National Assembly and continued feeding fat on the National cake…The Igbos in politics think that they are not recognized in Nigeria but you said out of eyeservice that Buhari is the best thing to have happened to Igbos and the best president in the whole wide world.
It is now you know that Nigeria is no longer fair to the Igbos. So glad Nigeria has happened to you in good measure.
