No fewer than 30 persons have been killed in Mangu local government area of Plateau State by suspected armed  militias late last night

Confirming the incident plateau state police command public relations officer Alfred Alubo said the attack which took place in kubat village were Men,women and children were killed is quite unfortunate as the command has surrounded the area

He says men of the Nigerian police force is on top of the situation as it has deployed it’s men to the affected area while trying to fish out those responsible fort his crime

Mean while plateau state governor Simon lalong and his counter the governor elect Barrister Caleb Mufwang has condemned the attacks

In thier separate press releases they expressed dismay and are disturbed about the sad development which has tendencies to set the state backwards

They describes this as yet another attempt by crises merchants and criminals to return the State to the dark days of pain and agony, vowing that the Government will stop at nothing to ensure that those behind this scheme are dealt with mercilessly.

While condemning the act, governor lalong and Mutfwang commiserates with the victims and assures that the murderers will not be allowed to go unpunished as this is an act that can neither be tolerated or excused no matter the motivation.
