Senator Dino Melaye has revealed how Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike begged him to convince the PDP presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku to make him his running mate in the just concluded presidential election.
Melaye’s Salvo comes after the Rivers state governor, on Tuesday, said the former senator lacked the capacity to be the governor of Kogi State, ahead of the guber polls in the state.
‘’When you give Dino that ticket, you know he won’t win in Kogi State Dino does not have what it takes [to be a governor] for crying out loud,”
“He knows me very well. He does not have what it takes to be a governor.”
“Does it mean now that if the PDP wants to win the election, it would give the ticket to Dino and you say tomorrow that you were rigged when you have already killed yourself?”
Dino Melaye in a video shared on twitter a few minutes ago revealed that He has so many records to use against the outgoing governor of Rivers state. He stated that Wike called him 19 times to secure a space as the running mate of Atiku Abubakar
‘’ Wike was calling me when Atiku Abubakar was to announce his running mate, I have records and I am wating for him. He called me 19 times in two hours begging us to convince Atiku to make him vice presidential candidate. You were lobbying us, begging us heaven and earth to convince Atiku. He spent hours at the airport waiting for me to call him that Atiku had picked him as his running mate. I have witnesses, he was begging all of us’’.
